Robert Marcoccia


Robert entered the custom installation industry in 1990. He began as an installer and has steadily progressed in the scope of responsibilities to project manager, designer, sales, and company management in the high-end custom market. His continuing interest in technology and the custom electronics field has propelled his development.

Currently, Robert is Head of Dealer Relations & Business Development for Group Gerhardt. He's seen the industry grow from large projects being $100,000, to now being over $500,000 (and has specialized in large projects in the $250,000 to $750,000 range). He has personally experienced the change in the nature of the industry, namely the shift from installed audio/video, to that of Designed Systems. This new industry requires much more in the way of design, documentation and professional interaction with Architects, Lighting Designers and Project Management Companies. Robert brings hands-on industry experience, as well as custom installation dealer perspectives to Group Gerhardt.

Robert currently lives in Stone Mountain, GA with his wife and two children.
